1. Participation

I give permission for my child to attend and take part in all activities within the Sport Star Academy program I have selected.

2. Enrollment and automatic renewal

  1. By enrolling for a term, you agree to join the program and, if you choose, for Sport Star Academy to securely store your payment details through our payment provider.
  2. Your enrollment renews automatically each term. Your saved payment method will be charged [amount or "the current term fee"] at the end of each term for the following term, until you cancel.
  3. We will email you at least [7/14] days before each renewal charge with the amount, the charge date and how to cancel.
  4. A child's place is not secured until fees are paid in full.

3. Annual registration fee

An Annual Registration Fee of USD55 is charged when you first enroll and automatically every 12 months while your child remains enrolled. We will email you at least 30 days before this charge, and you may cancel before it is processed.

4. How to cancel

You can cancel your enrollment or automatic renewal at any time, using any of these options:

  • Online through your account on our booking portal: https://myssa.sportstaracademyusa.com/
  • By email to info@sportstaracademy.com
  • By phone to your local area manager

To avoid the next term's charge, please cancel at least 7 days before the renewal date shown in your reminder email. We will confirm your cancellation in writing.

5. Refunds, missed classes and make-ups

  1. Fees are non-refundable for a change of mind or missed classes, except where required by law or in cases of serious medical circumstances supported by documentation.
  2. If your child misses a session, we will try to offer a make-up class where space is available. Make-ups are not guaranteed.
  3. You may transfer to another sport or class where space is available. Please arrange this with us before attending.
  4. If we cancel a session for safety reasons (for example, weather) we will offer a make-up session or credit where possible.

6. Assumption of risk and release of liability

  1. Sport activities involve physical exertion and an inherent risk of injury. All care is taken, but injuries can still happen.
  2. By enrolling, you acknowledge these risks and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Sport Star Academy, its staff and coaches from claims arising from ordinary injury, illness or mishap during participation.
  3. This release does not apply to injury caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Sport Star Academy or its staff.
  4. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Sport Star Academy against claims brought on behalf of your child arising from their participation, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Personal belongings

Sport Star Academy is not responsible for loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought to our programs.

8. Medical information and emergency care

  1. You must fully disclose any medical conditions, allergies or medications for your child when registering through our booking portal, and update us if anything changes.
  2. In an emergency, you authorize Sport Star Academy staff to arrange first aid and emergency medical or ambulance care for your child if you cannot be reached. You are responsible for any associated costs.
  3. Medical information is kept confidential and used only to keep your child safe.

9. Photos, video and testimonials

  1. Sport Star Academy may take photos or video during sessions for promotional use, including our website, social media and marketing materials.
  2. We will not identify a child by full name without parent permission.
  3. If you do not want your child's image used, please let your local coach know.
  4. With your permission, we may use testimonials or reviews you share with us in our marketing.

10. Communications

By enrolling, you agree to receive emails about your child's program, schedule changes and billing.

  1. Right to refuse or cancel

Sport Star Academy may refuse admission, cancel a registration or ask a participant or family to leave a session where safety or this Code of Conduct requires it. We may cancel any session we consider unsafe.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida

Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct keeps every session safe, positive and fun, so each child can build skills, confidence and a love of sport. By taking part, families agree to the following.

Child safety

  1. Sport Star Academy is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child. All coaches complete background checks and child-safety training before working with children.
  2. Staff follow a two-adult or observable-and-interruptible rule, so one-on-one interactions with a child always take place in view of others.
  3. Staff are mandatory reporters and will report any suspected abuse or neglect as required by state law.
  4. Families can raise any safety concern with their coach, local area manager or info@sportstaracademy.com.

Uniform and equipment

  1. Children must wear suitable athletic clothing and footwear, and the Sport Star Academy uniform (not required for trial sessions).
  2. No jewelry is to be worn during sessions.
  3. Please treat all equipment with care. For safety, children and parents should stay away from equipment not being used in the current activity.

Listening and respect

  1. When a coach is giving instructions, all children and parents should stop and listen.
  2. Parents and children are asked to respect and cooperate with coaches' decisions.
  3. Everyone is treated with respect, regardless of gender, race, culture, religion or ability.
  4. Staff may ask anyone who does not follow instructions, or who behaves unsafely, to leave the session.

Photos and social media

Families are welcome to take photos and video of their own child for personal use. Please be mindful of other children when posting online, and avoid sharing images of other families' children without their permission.

Food and drink

No food or drinks are allowed on the playing surface. Please send your child with a water bottle so they can stay hydrated.

Weather policy

Sessions go ahead in most weather unless we notify you otherwise. We will cancel or pause a session when:

  • The temperature or heat index is above [95 °F] or local heat advisories make play unsafe
  • Thunder is heard or lightning is seen; play stops and resumes only 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning
  • Heavy rain leaves too much standing water to play safely

We will notify families of cancellations by [email/text/app] as early as possible.

Acknowledgment

By completing your registration and enrolling in a Sport Star Academy program, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the participant, and that you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct.
